Two major industrial plants, including a major chemical plant, had rail connection to Amagerbanen at Syrevej. The Copenhagen Metro route to Copenhagen Airport opened on the same route in 2007. The Metro Station "Femøren" is located approximately 100 metres from the former Syrevej Station.
