3 june 2015 - Mossend-Clitheroe empty cement tanks freight passes Ribblehead Viaduct. British Rail planned Settle to Carlisle line closure in the late 80s. The main reason was high cost of repairing Ribblehead Viaduct. Finally viaduct have been repaired, restoration began in 1989 with completion in 1992. The final cost of the work amounted to £3 million. In the background of the photo Whernside mountain is visible, one of the highest Yorkshire Dales summits (736 m above sea level).

3 june 2015 - Garsdale-Kirkby Stephen. Clitheroe-Mossend loaded bogie cement tanks train has just left the tunnel, built below Birket Common. This freight was the last one during that day. Yorkshire Dales mountain ridge is visible at the background.
