21 may 2010 - The special train "Székely Gyors" (Szekler fast train) with MÁV-NOHAB 017 is waiting for departure at Budapest Keleti Railway Station. The four day trip to Transylvania launched this morning, the destination is Madéfalva (Siculeni).
This is one of the two special trains what carrying passengers from Hungary to Transylvania for the the Pentecostal religious event.

13 june 2011 - MÁV M61-017 (2761017) just arrived to Budapest-Keleti from 700-km journey from Transylvania.
The exposure was taken by a 60 years old Montanus Delmonta 6x6 TLR film camera on Fomapan 200 roll film.

19 march 2010 - The special train "Kárpát Expressz" (Carpathia Express) with MAV-NOHAB 001 is waiting for departure at Budapest Western Railway Station.
The two day trip on the lines of former Austro-Hungarian Monarchy launched this morning, the route will be:
Budapest - Miskolc - Záhony - Beregovo - Vinogradov - Satu Mare - Debrecen - Budapest (Hungary - Ukraine - Romania - Hungary)
This will be the first time in the last 66 years when Hungarian train runs on those lines.

13 november 2010 - Special train for Nagyvárad AC - Hungary old boys football match arrived back to Budapest-Nyugati station. The MÁV 424-class steam locomotive was faulted at Szolnok with melted side rods bearing, therefore the M61-001 NOHAB brought home the train.

10 june 2016 - Komárom. M61 001 + M61 019 w trakcie postoju na stacji celem zatankowania drugiej z lokomotyw. Niedługo później duet wyruszył w dalszą drogę, w stronę Győr.

13 august 2009 - Budapeszt, Kőbánya felső. I na zakończenie serii taki cymes. Robiłem w tym miejscu zdjęcia przez 5 minut i pod obiektyw podjechał jakby nigdy nic Nohab :)

7 september 2009 - Gárdony. Muzealny „Nohab” z poc. roboczym podczas modernizacji stacji. Odcinek objęty modernizacją Budapest Kelenföld - Székesfehérvár. Właścicielem lokomotywy jest muzeum kolejnictwa Füsti, z tego co mówił mechanik, z powodów finansowych muzeum wynajmuje lokomotywy m.in. do takich prac. MÁV zakupił 20 szt. lokomotyw serii M61 w latach 1963-1964. Z planowego ruchu zostały wycofane około 2001 r. Zwykle obsługiwały poc. pasażerskie wokół Balatonu. Obecnie pozostało 6 szt. M61 001, M61 006, M61 010, M61 017, M61 019, M61 020. Do muzeum miał również trafić M61 004, niestety uległ poważnemu wypadkowi wraz z poc. osobowym. 4.06.1999 w miejscowości Badacsonylábdihegy przy prędkości 70 km /h uderzył w powalone po wichurze drzewa. Lokomotywa została pocięta, a jej fragment ( kabina ) stoi przed gmachem muzeum transportu w Budapeszcie. Pewnie to moja ostatnia fotka przed świętami a zatem wesołych życzę !

24 march 2010 - MÁV M61-006 NOHAB is "sleeping" at Budapest, Kőbánya-Kispest Station.
There remained only seven Hungarian NOHABs, and this one is in the second worst condition.
The main body of the locomotive is very rusty, and the painting is faded.

NOHAB GM #M61 010
31 july 2009 - The picture depicts the former MAV (Hungarian State Railways) M61 010 Nohab
at Northern Vehicle Repair Factory's Railway and Modell Train Show.
The locomotive was in stock from 1963 to 2001.
In 2001 the Hungarian NOHAB-GM Foundation purchased this Nohab.
It took the Foundation 8 years (from 2001 up to today) to repair the locomotive to a state when it will be permitted to run. It still has to go through the porcess of getting the official licence.
I hope in 2010 it will be given the official licence.

The locomotive is waiting for night work, to help to other trains to leave the station during electic network maintenance.
